Step-by-step: Setting up MDM manually with Fleet
- System update
- Apple updates: Make sure you have all the necessary Apple updates installed on your machine before installing the MDM.
- Receive the Enrollment Email
- Fleet sends an email to the designated user containing a secure link to start the MDM enrollment process.
- Open the Enrollment Link on the Device
- Using Safari or another browser on your Apple device (Mac, iPhone, or iPad), open the link provided in the email.
- Check and download
- Add your serial number for verification. You can find this number by clicking on the apple, then "About this Mac".
- Click on "Download MDM" to obtain the MDM profile you need.
- Installing the MDM Profile
- Go to the downloaded MDM file and open it.
- Go to Settings > Device Management, and click on the “+” and install the . You may need to enter your device passcode.
- Grant Permissions
- Approve all necessary permissions for the profile to manage settings, install apps, and enforce security policies.
- Complete Enrollment
- Once installed, the device will automatically apply company settings, security policies, and apps pushed by Fleet’s MDM.
